Last Friday afternoon Annie and I wanted to take a day off and spend some girly time together, we spoil ourselves like that. We planned on lunch and some beach walking by her house in Newport. So after visiting my sweet grandma I met up with Annie. She had invited her friend Kelly that was visiting from Michigan who then brought her best friend Erica along as well for lunch. Still with me? Okay good.

We had met before a year ago, but very briefly and so we quickly got reacquainted, chatted, laughed, bonded and then chatted up some more. After having yummy fish and shrimp tacos at Sharkeez (great hangout during the day, not so much at night) we decided to go walk on the beach. I had brought my camera so I told the girls to play along so I could get photos of them. I knew that they would be willing, but I was taken back at how much fun they were having with it, um, especially Kelly. This was definitely the highlight of the day and I’m glad we documented it because it really was an awesome date.

Erica had a splinter, no problem, the bff came to the rescue.

Erica and Kelly, thank you for an awesome afternoon and hope to get to know more of you in the future. Annie, we did it again! Another girly date with a bang, I love that we can be anywhere, do anything and just have a ball. Love you, hope this brightens up your week.

I’m so blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful and strong women, it’s definitely very inspiring and so lovely to be able to capture it. My wish Annie, is that you see this photo and feel beautiful and loved because you are!

Looking at these beach photos makes me want to be back there again, can’t wait for the spring to come. I’ve enjoyed all the rain and gloomy mornings from this winter, but this CALI girl is ready for the sun so I can wear the flip flops and sun dresses once again. I’ve got lot’s more to share, this is just a teaser.

We met up with some of her co-workers and clients at the Yard House before the show for some appetizers and drinks and it was a nice way to get to know everyone in a more relaxed setting before heading to the show. Once we arrived we were kind of taken back, it had been our first time for the both of us to be in a VIP event. Let’s just say you get greeted with champagne as you are walking through and shiny platters of  elegantly presented hors d’oeuvres come through, oh lordy we were in heaven. The show and music was spectacular, it’s very engaging and for a moment you feel like you’re dreaming a fairy tale of some sort, highly recommend.

Thank you Annie for taking me a long, you truly gave me a great experience and not to mention a real treat.

I’m enjoying the rain, the smell of it, listening to it… I love everything about it. I hope everyone is having a good week, I will be back soon.

Today we celebrate not only your birthday, but all that you give all of us all year round. You are such a loving and giving person to everyone that surrounds you, thank you for all that you give me and for being so good to me this year specifically. Thank you for finally getting me to wear fun summer dresses and introducing me to spicy tuna rolls, seriously! Most of all thank you for all the countless phone calls just to “be there” for me when I’ve needed it the most.
