You see, I get to enjoy this adorable baby girl often when I visit Socorro since she now babysits for her sister. We were playing with her last week and as I was holding her I mentioned to Socorro of how petite and small she was. I then started calling her le petite femme and I think Alicia approved with all smiles and giggles. Socorro loved it too of course, her and I studied French in high school and in college and often would speak it in public so people wouldn’t understand us. These days we only speak it in small phrases, we’re a little rusty on our French at the moment.

I love having these beautiful babies around, they bring so much joy and laughter. I love that I get to play with them, capture them and then give them back!

Yesenia, I hope this brings smiles to your face while you are at work today. She is so fun to capture on camera, so sweet le petite femme.

Nicknames can certainly be fun, I have a set of my own here. You can be certain that this one will stick, I take it very seriously so if I give you a nickname you should definitely take it as a compliment.

This past Saturday during a visit with Socorro at her mom’s I got a chance to see her in action and at play with her cousin Ubaldo. She is the happiest little girl ever, she smiles all day long and it’s pretty contagious. Her and Ubaldo ham it up and they are so cute together, he being her protector and she loving the protection.

Her tights are the cutest, sporting them early just in time for fall fashion!

I wish I had more fun weekend photos, but this is all I’ve got. I’ve come to realize that when I am busiest with my work I really don’t take out the camera out to play for my personal stuff, both good and bad in my opinion. This past week has been super busy and haven’t been home much so things might be quite on the bloggy this week.

This photo session was taken three weeks after her birth as Alicia was in the intensive care unit for the first week, but she is doing just fine now. We let her sleep and I allowed them to just be themselves and it wasn’t long before she needed to be fed, but I still stood patient and let Alicia direct the show. During our photo session we placed her on her tummy and she completely lifted herself up, she puts up a fight this little one. So I think of her as very strong, you can see it in her eyes, she is very fierce and with this she will do just fine in life.

Yesenia, you’re going to be a great mama, I see this already. Alicia is so lucky to have you as her mama! She is so precious, strong and brings so much joy. Thank you for allowing me to capture this moment for you and sharing your bundle of joy with me, she has brought me many smiles.
