Hermosa Beach Wedding Photographer – Alanna + Brett

Beach weddings are so much fun, I loved the simplicity and non-tradional form of this wedding. It was just about celebrating their love with 15 of their closest family and friends with no glitz and glamour, again, I loved that! As I mentioned here previously, my photographer friend Lori allowed me to second shoot this wedding with her, thanks Lori.

Alanna met Brett through a patient of hers, she is a chiropractor and has the best posture… she really forced me to have good posture at least on that day. They are both runners and had just completed the Boston Marathon right before their wedding, they live for laughter and adventure. Alanna is one of the most chill brides I have every met, she was so calm and had a go with the flow attitude that it shines through in their photos. She gave Lori and I the upmost liberty to capture their day how we saw fit, while her and Brett just enjoyed the process and the day.

Both Lori and I had so much fun with Alanna walking down the strand in Hermosa Beach capturing images and bonding. The best part was watching how the family interacted once we arrived at the ceremony spot, everyone was so loving toward each other. Shooting barefoot in the soft sand at sunset was just icing on the cake. Enjoy!

Because the ceremony was at 7:00, 30 minutes before sunset with no clouds we had the most gorgeous golden light.

Thank you Alanna and Brett for showing us that a wedding can “really” be this simple and for sharing all your laughter and joy with me that day.

I love it when a bride just let’s go, trusts her photographers and just dances!!!!!!!!!!

Fun, right? I just couldn’t help but share a few photos since I’m previewing and processing with big smiles on my face because I had so much fun with this couple over the weekend. Of course it couldn’t have been possible without my photog friend, Lori of The Purple Tree Photography whom allowed me to second shoot along her side. It couldn’t have been a more gorgeous day on Saturday.

Backyard Wedding – Katie & Rick

Simply said, Katie and Rick have good taste and had the most darling backyard wedding. The weather was great, they looked fabulous and everything went as planned. Katie was fun, her smile and style were just the icing on the cake, but Rick complimented it with his sweet demeanor and gentleness. Their connection is undeniable and their daughter Anneliese is too cute for words.

Sneak Peek – Katie & Rick’s Wedding

As previously mentioned here, I was fortunate enough to photograph a beautiful backyard wedding a few weekends ago and Katie & Rick were amazing to work with. What a gorgeous couple!

Aren’t they lovely? And yes, this is just a teaser… they are so photogenic that there are just too many photos to share. Will be back with another sneak peak from a Mamalita session and with the rest of the wedding photos, but of course.

Heidi & David – Hitched!

I was ecstatic when Heidi called me and asked me to photograph her wedding. It was a lot of fun to shoot a bride that I had known over the years and had shared great moments and laughter with in the past.

We caught up and she told me about how she met David and how their love story unfolded. They had met through a group of friends and their first date was a group date over dinner then rock band and some board games. Their courtship began and David swept her so fast that Heidi had no idea what hit her and well, he couldn’t resist her (in her own words!). She soon realized that she fell in love with him and the rest is history!

Their ceremony was held at the San Diego LDS Temple and their reception in Oceanside, CA. We managed to do their photos at La Jolla Cove and it couldn’t have been a better day, everything around them sparkled on their special day.

Isn’t she just gorgeous?

Off to La Jolla Cove we went, they definitely put on a great show for all to see.
