These shots were taken last week, he is now one month old and what is very apparent is that he knows who his mommy is. Everywhere she went his eyes followed, so sweet to watch. It was fun to see Makaelah also being a big sister. Of course there is a little bit of jealousy when we all have our attention on baby Aiden, but she also loves her baby brother very much and that was fun to capture as well.

His baby feet and hands did not disappoint, cute and fun to hold.

I think he’s saying “Sissy, you are smothering me, but I’ll still let you play with me.”

This one makes my heart melt. It’s screaming please print me and frame me now!  ;)

This particular session called for lot’s of black & white, it’s just one of those things that when you’re editing comes to you. Joshua like many newborns did really well, we just tired him out. We had gorgeous light from their bedroom window. Once again I enjoyed watching an amazing family “just be” and their love and connection with each other makes me get all weepy and want to take Joshua and put him in my pocket.

Joshua is so inquisitive and very observant. In just these few weeks of life he is expressing madly and deep affection towards his parents, he stares at them like they are the only people in the room, laughs, reacts and smiles at them. What a sweet little boy he is already! This first one is one of my favorites.

I hope Joshua one day forgives me for posting photos of his bottom, but really, just tell him they are a work of art!

This photo session was taken three weeks after her birth as Alicia was in the intensive care unit for the first week, but she is doing just fine now. We let her sleep and I allowed them to just be themselves and it wasn’t long before she needed to be fed, but I still stood patient and let Alicia direct the show. During our photo session we placed her on her tummy and she completely lifted herself up, she puts up a fight this little one. So I think of her as very strong, you can see it in her eyes, she is very fierce and with this she will do just fine in life.

Just a sneak peak from my newborn session today, she’s cute as a button. I truly enjoyed meeting and spending time with this little one and her mommy whom is just smitten with her.

I had the pleasure of capturing the Sampson family this past Sunday in their home as they enjoy every moment of their new baby, Anabella whom they also call Bells. I met Natalie and George back a few years working for a mortgage company and they are completely made for each other, it’s kind of ridiculous! They have always been great to me and I am so happy to see them start their family. They never thought they would have children, but changed their minds and seeing them hold their baby girl made me realize how much truly they were meant to be parents.

Thank you Natalie and George for the amazing experience of capturing this moment for you. I wish your family lot’s of love, health and peace.
